Native community and politic marketing
Mexico its known to have one of the richest cultures of the world, and has a variety of diversity communities , mostly indian population.
Now days, the indian community has suffered the consecuences of modernization, according to INEGI, since 1930, the indian population has decreased down to 50 percent, turning the indian population into a vulneable group.
This has forced indians to participate more in politics in order to preserve their interests and have more participation in national matters. clear example of this was in past elections, where 10% of the entire votations correspond to the indian community making an important paper for the election of the president.
Undoubtly, politic marketing has been important to encourage the indian community, throughout years, in Mexico, it has created dependecies that treat only indian issues such as the National Comition of Indian Matters and there is a lot of support to Indian events.
This however, have become difficult due to the constant problems they face, such as discrimination, poverty, hunger, work, etc.
In my opinion, even though politic marketing has been relevant to encourage the indian community with activities such as the International Day of the Indian women and others, its important for the gobernment to solve the main issues they are forced to face.

ResponderEliminarMy comment is with regard to your work on the indigenous population. Very interesting thought that their vulnerability (small numbers) has pushed them into politics to preserve their way of life. You could have developed that idea a bit further and added more facts.
