The polemic situation that right now is facing the united states on the Snowden case, I considered it as the most interesting subject on Politic Marketing, the reason I affirmed this it´s because of the diferent reactions of the countries involved and how they use their methods of politic marketing to handle the situation.
In the last blog, i mentioned that Mexico acted by making announcements the president Enrique Peña Nieto and the Secretary of Gobernment Osorio Chong. using Social Media to show it´s discontent and demand explanations of the US.
The very own Snowden has acted using Magazines and Social Networking to reach out to the people around the world and prove of the ilicital acts commited by the US and the UK.
The main responsible, The United States of America hasn´t given an direct response to most accusations, instead they claim to give explanations sometime in the future to the offended countries and they foccus right in attacking Snowden.
Clear example it´s what Dan Pfeiffer, asessor of the White house has said to the news this morning
"Snowden has violated the law" and that "he should come back and face the law and make justicw" and he also thinks that the information revealed has given a direct hit in the fight against terrorism.
In others words, The United States is taking the role of victim, arguing that the infiltration made had a prupose, the war againt terrorism. and that Snowden should be considered as a traitor that has affected this war and warns other countries that he is dangerous and should come back and face the law. The technique used was the news in the main channels of television.
And I said most countries, because first world countries, such as Germany has cornered the US in order to confess that indeed it had spy on Merkel. As a consecuence, Merkel has called Obama to show her indignation.
As a conclution, political marketing in this kind of topics it´s so inmense and so rich, it requires a deeper analysis to view completely all the techniques used by all the involved.

The Snowden case is indeed a great case of political marketing. In the end you say "it´s so imense and so rich, it requires a deeper analysis" - it would have been great if you had tried to do this!
